TORONTO, ON – Life is a little more “grand” for Vincenzo Tomasi of Newmarket. He matched all five main numbers to win a second prize of $25,000 a year for life with DAILY GRAND in the October 7, 2021 draw. Vincenzo opted for the lump sum prize of $500,000.
Vincenzo, a regular lottery player, says his favourite games are DAILY GRAND, LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49. “I started playing DAILY GRAND because the cashier told me to give it a try and now, I’m here collecting a prize!” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre to collect his cheque.
Vincenzo, a father, says he was out running errands when he decided to check his tickets. “I didn’t believe it. I was shocked. I didn’t know how much I won until I talked to the OLG rep on the phone,” he said. “I went home, and my wife asked why I was gone so long – she was shocked!”
“This win enhances so much in my life. It will take the pressure off paying for my children’s school,” he smiled.
He plans to complete some home renovations, pay down his mortgage, travel and share his win with family. “I want to take my family on a fun adventure,” he concluded.
OLG is currently booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto only for those claims that require a face-to-face interview. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options. Prize claims up to $49,999.90 should continue to be submitted by mail. DAILY GRAND is a national lottery game with a top prize of $1,000 a day for life for matching the five main numbers plus the Grand Number. The second prize is $25,000 a year for life for matching the five main numbers. DAILY GRAND is $3 per play and draws take place on Mondays and Thursdays.
