Daniel says he has been playing the lottery for 10 years. “This ticket was a gift from my girlfriend’s mom, and I won this prize on Canada Day,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
The 28-year-old musician and student says he didn’t believe he won at first. “It was a regular Sunday. I was with my girlfriend and we both started jumping up and screaming,” he said. “It feels good – let me tell you! I never thought this would happen!”
Daniel explains this experience as ‘extreme.’ “I had the shakes and felt so hot! That night when we drove home, all the fireworks were going off for Canada Day. It felt like a celebration for me!” he said.
He plans to make an investment in real estate and go on a trip to Italy with his winnings.
