TORONTO, ON – Life is a little more “grand” for Colleen Godard of Kitchener. She matched all five main numbers plus the Grand Number to win a top prize of $1,000 a day for life with DAILY GRAND in the July 18, 2022 draw. Colleen opted for the lump sum prize of $7 million.
Colleen, who works as a receptionist, says DAILY GRAND is her favourite game. “I ran to the grocery store to grab a few things and realized I had some tickets to check. When the kiosk said, ‘Big Winner’ I thought I must have won $1,000 or so, and when I handed my ticket to the cashier to check, the machine froze,” shared Colleen while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “When I saw I won $1,000 a day for life I was in shock and disbelief – I crying happy tears!”
The 46-year-old says she shared the news with her sons, and they were in disbelief. “I told the rest of my family over Easter dinner. Everyone was jumping with excitement,” she smiled.
Colleen plans to make sure her children and grandchildren are comfortable, invest her winnings, and go on a vacation. “I never imagined that I would ever be in such an amazing situation.”
“This win is a blessing. There are really no other words to describe it,” she concluded.
DAILY GRAND is a national lottery game with a top prize of $1,000 a day for life for matching the five main numbers plus the Grand Number. The second prize is $25,000 a year for life for matching the five main numbers. DAILY GRAND is $3 per play and draws take place on Mondays and Thursdays.
