Toronto, ON – William Moynihan of Richmond Hill can “find his possible” after winning a LOTTO 6/49 prize worth $1 million in the Gold Ball Draw on July 29, 2023.
William, 62, said he’s a longtime lottery player. “I started playing WINTARIO around the time my daughters were born,” he shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall. Today, William is loyal to LOTTO 6/49 and always says yes to ENCORE. “I typically select one line of numbers myself and use QUICK PICKS for the rest. I always felt I’d win one of these days!”
The father of three was halfway through his morning coffee when he decided to check his ticket on his phone. Upon discovering he’d won big, William was in shock. “I splashed cold water in my face and thought to myself, ‘I’ve got to look at that again.’ I must have checked my ticket 10 times!”
He then shared the exciting news with his kids. “They didn’t believe me immediately, so I sent them a photo of my ticket. They saw that it matched winning numbers online and said, ‘It’s true! It’s true!’”
William says that his win will help him to live comfortably in his retirement. “It couldn’t have happened at a better time,” he smiled. “I want to visit my friends and celebrate with them!”
William described winning as an extraordinary and life-changing experience. “I’ve been walking on clouds ever since,” he concluded.
