Toronto, ON – Wayne and Melissa Genoway of Burlington are celebrating after winning a $250,000 top prize with INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE (Game #3352).
Melissa and Wayne said they have been playing the lottery together since the pandemic as a way of having fun. INSTANT CROSSWORD and BINGO are their favourite games. This is their first big win!
“I played the ticket while at home and thought I won $50 at first. When I scanned the ticket I thought, ‘OMG’ and went back to check where all the words were placed,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their windfall. When Melissa sent Wayne a photo of the ticket, he thought it was a joke at first. “I phoned her and could tell by her voice it was real,” said Wayne.
“I had a skip in my step all day! It was so special to share this together,” said Melissa.
“It’s a happy and exciting time. I was excited my wife got to experience the discovery,” added Wayne.
The pair plan to celebrate with a beach vacation for some relaxation in the sun.
INSTANT CROSSWORD DELUXE is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $250,000. Odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.46.
The winning ticket was purchased at Kilbride Country Store on Kilbride Street in Burlington.
