TORONTO, ON Michele (Mike) Scetto of Uxbridge won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $456,680.90 in the August 26, 2023 LOTTARIO draw. He also won $16 on another one of his LOTTARIO selections, bringing his total winnings to $456,696.90.

Mike, 58, has been playing the lottery for 20 years and says he doesn’t like to play the same games and often switches it up. “LOTTARIO has been one of my main games,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre to pick up his winnings.

When discovering his win, he checked his ticket at the store and was very excited. “I almost had a heart attack,” he joked. Mike hasn’t told anyone except for his mother, sister and nephews about his win.

He plans to pay off some bills with his winnings. “I’m very excited and anxious,” he concluded.

LOTTARIO launched in 1978 as Ontario’s first terminal lotto game. Tickets are $1 and the draws take place every Saturday. Tickets purchased before 10:30 p.m. on Fridays are eligible for the Early Bird draw. Visit the LOTTARIO page on OLG.ca for more information.

The winning ticket was purchased at Michael’s Convenience on Warden Avenue in Markham.
