TORONTO, ON – Jane Riga of Mississauga won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $572,088.10 in the July 23, 2022 LOTTARIO draw.
Jane, 61, said she is a regular lottery player and plays her own numbers that are a combination of family birthdates. “I listened to the winning numbers on the win line and saw that they matched. I couldn’t believe it – I was in shock,” she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.
Jane said her husband was the first person she told and at first, he thought she said $50,000. “I said, no – half a million! He was shocked, too!”
This windfall means a more secure feeling for Jane’s retirement. “It puts me at ease,” she smiled. “I’m going to purchase a new car and save.”
