TORONTO, ON – Life is a little more “grand” for Benjamin Moyse of Nepean. He matched all five main numbers to win a second prize of $25,000 a year for life with DAILY GRAND in the January 18, 2024 draw. Benjamin opted for the lump sum payment of $500,000.
Benjamin, a public service worker, is an occasional lottery player with OLG and likes to look at the odds of winning, which is why he decided to play DAILY GRAND. “I was looking at my email one morning when I noticed I had one from OLG about my ticket. I didn’t want to get my hopes up, but it looked different from my other emails. I logged into my account and saw I won,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his windfall.
When Benjamin shared the news with his family, they were so happy. “They kept asking if I’m sure,” he laughed. “It’s crazy. I feel so thankful my dreams of winning finally came true.
Benjamin plans to celebrate his win with his family and hopes to make a real estate purchase with his winnings.
“There are no words to describe how amazing this is,” he concluded.
DAILY GRAND is a national lottery game with a top prize of $1,000 a day for life for matching the five main numbers plus the Grand Number. The second prize is $25,000 a year for life for matching the five main numbers. DAILY GRAND is $3 per play and draws take place on Mondays and Thursdays.
