TORONTO, ONAndrija Konjek of Stoney Creek won “Ontario’s jackpot” – $734,061.70 in the March 27, 2021 LOTTARIO draw.

Andrija, a 72-year-old retired grandfather, said he’s an occasional lottery player. “When I checked my ticket at the store, I saw the number ‘7’ and lots of numbers after,” he shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “I waited a few days and had my son check my ticket. My wife and I couldn’t believe it!”

He plans to use his winnings to visit family when it’s safe to travel again and save some for his children.

In accordance with government-issued lockdown measures to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, OLG is currently limiting the number of in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to only those that require a face-to-face interview. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options. Prize claims up to $49,999.90 should continue to be submitted by mail. The health and safety of our customers and employees remains our top priority and OLG looks forward to providing future updates on the availability of in-person prize claims.

LOTTARIO launched in 1978 as Ontario’s first terminal lotto game. Tickets are $1 and the draws take place every Saturday. Tickets purchased before 10:30 p.m. on Fridays are eligible for the Early Bird draw. Visit the LOTTARIO page on OLG.ca for more information.

The winning ticket was purchased at Avondale on Highway 8 in Stoney Creek.
